Logistics & GPS Asset Tracking

Live location, temperature, door-open and shock telemetry across mixed fleets - your trucks, our gateways, one platform.

IoT-WorkS tracks vehicles, trailers, containers and unpowered assets on one platform, combining GPS location with temperature, door-open and shock telemetry. Multi-year battery trackers cover assets with no power supply, so a mixed fleet reports through a single feed instead of several disconnected supplier portals.

Where we deploy

3 typical use cases
01

Reefer + ambient fleet telemetry

GPS plus reefer-temperature plus door-open events plus shock detection - one tracker, one feed, full audit trail per consignment.

02

Trailer + container tracking

Multi-year battery trackers for unpowered trailers and containers; works inside metal hulls and across continents.

03

Route + dwell analytics

Stop-time, idle-time and route-deviation reporting feed scheduling and customer-service workflows. Lower fuel, fewer surprises.

What can a single tracker report on one consignment?

Location, temperature, door-open events and shock, on one device and one feed. That combination is what turns a delivery record into an evidence trail: you can show where a load was, what temperature it held, when the doors were opened and whether it was dropped - per consignment, without correlating exports from three different systems. Chilled and frozen loads carry the temperature history a food-safety auditor asks for.

  • GPS position with configurable reporting interval
  • Reefer or ambient temperature, logged continuously in transit
  • Door-open events timestamped against location
  • Shock and tilt detection for fragile or high-value freight

How do you track trailers and containers with no power?

With self-powered trackers built for it. Battery life runs to about five years at typical reporting intervals, and the units are designed to hold a signal inside metal-bodied trailers and shipping containers where consumer trackers fail. That covers the part of a mixed fleet most operators lose sight of: the unpowered assets that spend weeks parked in yards or at third-party sites.

How does this fit alongside tachograph and drivers hours rules?

It sits alongside them rather than replacing them. Tachograph records remain the legal record for drivers hours - our telemetry covers the asset and the load, not driver compliance. In practice the two datasets complement each other: route, stop and dwell analytics explain the operational picture behind a schedule, while the tachograph continues to serve its statutory purpose.

Can we track a mixed fleet on one platform?

That is the usual reason operators call us. Owned trucks, subcontracted vehicles, trailers, containers and roll cages typically arrive with different trackers and separate portals, and nobody has one view. We bring them into a single feed - our gateways on your vehicles, existing devices integrated where they support it - so route, temperature and dwell reporting covers the whole fleet rather than the newest third of it.

Every vertical runs on the same engines: AI Telemetry for sensor data, Engineering services for hardware + firmware + integration, the same platform for dashboards, alerts and compliance exports. The vertical changes the asset class and the regulatory frame; the stack underneath doesn't.

/ common questions

Frequently asked questions

How long do the battery trackers last on unpowered trailers?
About five years at typical reporting intervals. The units are built for unpowered assets, so trailers and containers that sit in yards for weeks keep reporting without a charging or swap rota.
Do trackers work inside metal containers?
Yes. The trackers are designed to hold a signal from inside metal-bodied trailers and shipping containers, which is where consumer-grade devices typically drop out, and they continue reporting across international routes.
Can one device report both location and temperature?
Yes. A single tracker reports GPS position, reefer or ambient temperature, door-open events and shock on one feed, giving a per-consignment audit trail without correlating exports from separate systems.
Does this replace our tachograph records?
No. Tachographs remain the legal record for drivers hours; our telemetry covers the asset and the load. The two work together, with route and dwell analytics explaining the operational picture behind the statutory record.
Can you integrate trackers we already own?
Where existing devices expose an API or standard feed, yes. The aim is one platform across a mixed fleet rather than another portal, so we integrate what we sensibly can and fit our own gateways where we cannot.
