Frequently asked questions

What hardware does IoT-WorkS supply?
Three families: wireless sensors (VS-T200 temperature/humidity, VS-V100 vibration, VS-D300 door/contact), GPS trackers (VT-F100 fleet, VT-A200 asset, VT-S300 satellite) and gateways (VG-L200 LoRa, VG-E300 edge ML, VG-O500 outdoor industrial).
Which radio technologies are supported?
LoRa, NB-IoT, 4G/2G cellular, BLE, WiFi and Iridium satellite. The right choice depends on coverage, battery target, data rate and asset mobility - the engineering team recommends per use case.
How long does the battery last?
Three years (VT-S300 satellite tracker) to ten years (VS-D300 door sensor), depending on the device and reporting cadence. The VS-T200 environmental sensor runs for seven years at a typical 15-minute cadence.
Are the devices certified for industrial environments?
Yes. IP67/IP68 on outdoor and tracker devices, IP66 on vibration, IP54 on door sensors. Operating ranges down to -40°C (sensors) and -30°C (gateways). CE, UKCA, RED, FCC, RCM, RoHS and REACH; ATEX/IECEx optional.
Can the gateways run AI models at the edge?
The VG-E300 Edge ML Gateway runs ONNX Runtime and TensorFlow Lite on an ARMv8 quad-core CPU with 4 GB RAM, with sub-second inference. The VG-O500 supports OPC-UA, Modbus and MQTT for industrial integration.
