"Six tools, four spreadsheets, and a glovebox full of paper logs."
- ×Manual temp checks at depot - gaps in transit
- ×Loggers downloaded weekly, not in real time
- ×Compliance audits = 2 days of admin per quarter
- ×Compressor failures noticed only after product loss
- ×No way to prove door was shut for the whole journey
after iot-works
"One dashboard. One audit export. Zero product loss this quarter."
- ✓Live temperature, humidity, door, GPS - every asset
- ✓Predicted compressor failures, 7–11 days early
- ✓FSA + MHRA report generated in 30 seconds
- ✓SLA-backed alerting via SMS + portal + email
- ✓Full chain-of-custody, signed and timestamped

What does a cold-chain deployment look like end-to-end?
A typical refrigerated van kit-out: door-open and temperature/humidity sensors inside the load space, driver-ID tag, fuel + mileage telemetry from the vehicle CAN bus. Data hops over GNSS or cellular into our platform, where it lands in a dashboard and an audit-ready export.

Frequently asked questions
- What does IoT-WorkS cold-chain monitoring measure?
- Temperature, humidity, door state and GPS - streamed continuously from vans, reefers, distribution centres and ports. The platform learns each asset's baseline and surfaces deviations, predicted failures and audit-ready exports.
- Is the system FSA and MHRA compliant?
- Yes. FSA, MHRA and GDP export formats are built in. The audit pack contains continuous temperature records, deviation events, corrective actions, calibration records and chain-of-custody - formatted to satisfy a UK Food Standards Agency or MHRA inspection.
- How quickly does the system pay back?
- On a UK cold-chain logistics deployment the customer recovered the full cost in eight months, with a 78% reduction in temperature deviations and 92% reduction in audit-preparation time.
- Which hardware is used for cold-chain monitoring?
- Primarily the VS-T200 temperature + humidity sensor (±0.3°C, -40°C to +85°C, 7-year battery), VS-D300 door/contact sensor (10-year battery), and VT-F100 or VT-A200 trackers for in-transit visibility. The VG-O500 outdoor gateway provides backhaul at depots and ports.
- Can the system run on vans with intermittent cellular signal?
- Yes. Sensors buffer locally and uplink when signal is available. For routes with consistent black-spots, the VT-S300 satellite tracker adds Iridium fallback so temperature and location continue to be recorded.
