What does whole-home automation actually control?
Everything that would otherwise need its own app. Lighting scenes, heating zones, blinds, access and audio come first, then energy - solar generation, battery charge state, EV charging and household consumption in one view. Because it is a single system rather than several products bridged together, an action can span all of them: leaving the house can arm security, drop heating and pause charging in one command.

How does energy integration lower running costs?
By moving consumption to the right moment. When the system can see generation, battery state, tariff period and demand together, it can charge the car and run heavy loads on cheap or self-generated power rather than at peak rate. That decision is impossible when the inverter, the charger and the heating each live in a separate app with no shared view.

Yes. Control logic runs locally on the Loxone server, so lighting, heating, access and scenes continue to work through a broadband outage. Remote access and notifications need connectivity, but the house does not stop functioning because a router failed - a distinction worth checking with any cloud-dependent smart-home product.
Who designs and who installs?
We engineer the system - the control logic, the integration and the energy strategy - and certified partners carry out the installation. That split keeps design decisions with engineers who work on commercial building control every day, while the physical work is done by installers accredited for it. For new builds and renovations, involving us at first fix avoids the retrofit compromises that limit what the system can later do.
Every vertical runs on the same engines: AI Telemetry for sensor data, Engineering services for hardware + firmware + integration, the same platform for dashboards, alerts and compliance exports. The vertical changes the asset class and the regulatory frame; the stack underneath doesn't.

- Yes. Control logic runs locally on the Loxone server, so lighting, heating, access and scenes keep working through an outage. Only remote access and notifications require connectivity.

- Yes. Generation, battery state, tariff period and household demand are visible in one system, which is what allows heavy loads and car charging to shift to cheap or self-generated power.
- Do I need one app per manufacturer?
- No. That is the problem the system solves: lighting, heating, security, audio and energy run through one platform and one app rather than several disconnected vendor products.
- Is this suitable for a renovation as well as a new build?
- Both, though involving us at first fix on a renovation avoids the cabling compromises that later limit what the system can do. Retrofit is still practical where wiring routes exist.
